Melt are proud to announce that they are this years International Winners for Best Pizza!

On Thursday, March 22 2007 Peter Augoustis from Melt Gourmet Pizza Bar in Neutral Bay competed against some of the best pizza makers in the world, at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas. Peter walks away with the title of International Winner Best Pizza after beating competitors from around the world including New Zealand, Italy, Canada, France, Scotland.

SECRET INGREDIENTS
The winning international entry – created by Peter Augoustis, from Melt Gourmet Pizza Bar in Sydney's Neutral Bay – was Moroccan Lamb Pizza. His ingredients included a combination of spice-rubbed lamb, preserved lemon, minted yogurt and sultanas and Australian made Dairy Farmers Caboolture Mozzarella cheese flown in especially for the competition!

Everybody's talking about Melt Gourmet Pizza!

Theirs is quite honestly probably the best pizza I have ever had - weird ingredients and all. That is a HUGE call to make coming from a native Chicagoan.
